Town of Trinity Awarded LWCF Grant
The Town of Trinity has been awarded $148,111 through the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) for the renovation of Kimbrel Park.
This project will transform the park’s existing playground—currently located on a 1.12-acre lot in a residential area—into a modern, inclusive recreational space for local families. The current playground structure will be demolished and replaced with updated equipment, including:
These improvements were selected to provide safe, accessible, and independent play opportunities for children of all abilities.
In addition to the playground upgrades, the project will enhance the park’s natural beauty with new shade trees, supporting both comfort and community enjoyment.
Once completed, the renovated Kimbrel Park will serve as a welcoming, inclusive gathering place for residents of all ages.
