Medicare and Social Security in 2019

Social Security recipients and Medicare beneficaries can expect changes in 2019.  Social Security announced that there will be a 2.8 percent cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) for the new year.  This is the largest COLA since 2012 and will amount to about $40 for the average social security recipient.

The good news for Medicare beneficiaries includes the just announced 2019 premiums and deductibles.  Below is a brief chart reflecting the change from 2018 to 2019.
